Welcome to Taste Match ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Taste Match is a restaurant discovery app that helps you find nearby restaurants using a swipe-based interface. We designed this app with privacy in mind — we collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our service.

Information We Collect

1. Location Data

How we collect it Through your device's location services, only when you grant permission
Why we collect it To find restaurants near your current location
How it's used Your location is sent to Google Places API to search for nearby restaurants. We do not store your location on any servers.
Your control You can deny location permission at any time through your device settings.

2. Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party:

3. Advertising Data (Free Users Only)

If you use the free version of Taste Match, we display advertisements through Google AdMob. Google may collect certain data for advertising purposes including device identifiers, IP address, general location, and ad interaction data.

Your control: Upgrade to Premium to remove all advertisements and associated data collection, or use iOS App Tracking Transparency to limit ad tracking.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We use Google Places API to provide restaurant data including names, addresses, photos, ratings, and business information.

Taste Match is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app does not require or request any personal information from users of any age.
